Welcome

I have decided to begin this blog as a way of sharing my own original artworks/musings/creative creations. I feel some slight trepidation about begining it because I do not always enjoy spending long amounts of time on the internet or on my computer for that matter. Thus, I expect that this blog may be somewhat slow and steady. The internet simply seems to be the best avenue in which to spread awareness about these things , espeically as it becomes more and more vernacular on a widespread and personal level. I'm actually taking a class called Folklore and the Internet which discusses this very issue. I have read alot of blogs on which the authors seem to be able to maintain an organic/folk-like flow which I certainly hope to embody.

I currently live in Detroit, Michigan and have been an artist for as long as I can remember. I have had a few art shows, but I mostly feel that my journey as an artist and only just begun.

I hope that you will enjoy what you see on this site and feel free to comment/respond. There is a very very good possibility that I will end up doing more things than just posting pictures of my art on this blog--lets hope it grows like weeds and becomes many different things!

To start things off, here is a piece that I did a few years ago when I was taking this really great art class in highschool with the ever calm and peaceful Mr.Lemenu. At the end of every year he would draw portraits of everyone in the class, shrink them down and place them all side-by-side, make copies, and hand them out to everyone. Such a great keepsake! I still have mine.

I had DELICIOUS ethiopean food tonight with my mom, brother and cousin for my birthday. Those spices are dangerous! They can enchant you--be careful. You may find yourself dancing uncontrollably or having a strong urge to profess your love to someone...
